About Envision Eye Health Clinic
Dr. Brenton Loose – Optometrist
Dr. Loose graduated from University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry (Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Student) in 1998 and returned to Prince George in 1999. Optometry had been his goal since grade 10 while attending D.P. Todd Secondary School. As a developmental optometrist, he has additional training and special interest in resolving visual dysfunctions related to eye teaming, eye tracking, lazy eye, double vision, traumatic brain injuries (concussions) and visual perceptual skills that affect reading, achievement in school and every day life activities. He also has a keen interest and certified training in specialty contact lenses such as multifocal, rigid gas permeable, orthokeratology lenses (Overnight Corneal Reshaping) and scleral lenses.
Dr. Loose enjoys working with the Envision team and offering comprehensive and specialized vision care. He enjoys the outdoors with his wife Tami, and their four daughters. Some of their favourite activities in beautiful British Columbia are canoeing, fishing, alpine hiking, snowshoeing and four season camping.
Dr. Phillip Shrimpton – Optometrist
Dr. Shrimpton grew up in Prince George, and set his sights on optometry while attending the University of Northern British Columbia. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry, he continued his education at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science, graduating in 2021. During this degree, he had the opportunity to practice in three provinces including both rural and urban communities, treating and managing cases of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and binocular vision. He has a special interest in ocular surface disease (dry eye) and myopia control in children.
Dr. Shrimpton is very excited to be back home in Prince George. He loves the access to winter sports here, and can’t wait to be back on his skates and skis. He also likes to travel, especially if he can ride a motorcycle there.

They seemed like they really wanted to help us and I had all my questions and worries answered by the end. Really amazing service, thanks again”
